Portrait of a Nation
Nestled within the grandeur of St. George's Hall in Liverpool, an extraordinary technical case study came to life. "Portrait of a Nation" was a project that seamlessly melded live performances, video, graphics, and live camera mixing, all against the backdrop of an unconventional 45-degree custom front projection screen, spanning an impressive 60ft by 42ft (18376mm x 12828mm).
Challenges
The project posed distinctive challenges, yet the unwavering dedication to the vision rendered it truly remarkable. The daring inclination of the custom screen required precision and meticulous attention. The flawless condition of the screen's surface was imperative to guarantee no bowing and the success of a triple projector overlay.

Our Role
In this ambitious undertaking,
ECT ScreenWorks manufactured and supplied the crucial piece that made it all possible - a perfectly engineered, custom screen.
Considering the sheer size of the screen, a seam was a necessary element; however, our specialists made sure it was as inconspicuous as possible to ensure that the audience would not be able to see it.
As soon as the manufacturing process was complete the screen was then promptly delivered directly to the venue to allow the crew to get the screen into position and allow for adequate testing before the show.
During the entire purchase process, we maintained open communication regarding timelines and remained on hand to address any inquiries.
