Frequently Asked Questions

We're here to help!

What size screen do I need?

The size of the screen you need will depend on a variety of factors, including the size of the venue, the number of attendees, and the type of content you will be projecting.

Where possible, you want the attendees seated at the back to be able to view text and images clearly, without it being too large for those seated in the front. Ideally, the first seating row should be placed at a distance from the screen that is equal to two times the height of the projection screen. This will help to create an optimal seating arrangement that allows for clear and comfortable viewing for all attendees.

A general rule of thumb is that the screen should be at least one-third the distance from the screen to the farthest seat in the audience.

To calculate the ideal screen size, you can use the following formula: Screen width = (Distance from screen to farthest seat) ÷ 3

For example, if the distance from the screen to the farthest seat in the audience is 30 feet, the ideal screen width would be 10 feet.

It is important to note that this is just a rough guideline, and other factors such as the type of content being projected, the aspect ratio of the screen and ceiling limitations may also come into play.

What aspect ratio should I use?

When it comes to choosing the type of screen to use for your live event, there are several options available, including front projection screens, rear projection screens, and inflatable screens. The type of screen you choose will depend on a variety of factors, including the venue and the type of content you will be projecting.

Front projection screens are the most commonly used type of screen for live events. These screens are placed in front of the projector, and the image is projected onto the front of the screen. Front projection screens are generally easy to set up and use, and they provide a bright, clear image that is suitable for a wide range of applications.

Rear projection screens, on the other hand, are placed behind the projector, and the image is projected onto the back of the screen. Rear projection screens can be a good option if you have limited space or if you want to create a more immersive viewing experience for your audience. However, they can be more difficult to set up and require a greater degree of planning and preparation.
